Brahma is the creator aspect, Vishnu is the preserver aspect, and Shiva is the destroyer aspect. Brahman is not a sentient deity, it is more of a universal lifeforce. This one deity manifested itself on earth as life, their god is composed of every living thing on earth. We are each a "piece" of god....
