I found a bullet with my metal detector. There were some very old items at this site. Including some military pins I can't identify. Let me add I found things from many time periods, it's not neccessarily military. The casing is corroded to the point there's no writing on it. Parts of it are missing. The slug itself is a shiny silver. No corrosion. From the size of it I'm guessing it's a 38 caliber. Any ideas?

Here's a coupe of pictures. One of the bullet itself. One picture of two other bullets found at the same site. You can see a big difference in the corrosion of the casing.
That's why I believe it's old. This is a school yard. Bullets haven't been fired there for a very long time.
