I've lost 80 pounds and I feel like I'm losing my focus. My desire is still there, just not as strong as it was in the beginning. I've lost all this weight in 5 months. I really want to reach my goal. does anyone have any suggestions?

Start getting into the WHY now that you have a handle on the WHAT. Why did you want to lose weight? To live longer? Then live - dance, jog, swim.
To find someone - Then go look - supermarket, sports, church, hobby.
You've rightly rewarded yourself w/ kudos and congrats. Now is the time to reward yourself w/ life.

Wow, congratulations on your weight loss so far! You've probably just hit a plateau. It happens to all of us no matter how dedicated we are to losing weight. Here's a few suggestions:

1. Rest and get at least 8 hours of sleep. Stress can cause the body to retain fat, esp around the tummy.
2. Drink at least 8 cups (64 oz) of water per day. It reduces water weight, aids digestion, and helps the organs function properly to burn fat.
3. Make sure you're eating the right amount of calories...not too much but also not too little. If the body thinks it is in starvation mode, it will lower your metabolism to burn fewer calories.
4. Eat a balanced diet as well, including plenty of protein, fiber, fruits & veggies, complex carbs, and healthy fats (mono- and poly- unsaturated). Don't eat too many refined carbs (white bread, sugars, etc) or saturated fats.
5. Make sure your cardio routine is still challenging. Sometimes the body gets really efficient at burning calories if you do the same thing over and over. You might need to increase the intensity or pick a new activity. I highly recommend running (try the couch to 5K program on coolrunning.com).
6. Also add some strength training every other day if you haven't already. This will add muscle mass to increase your metabolism so you burn more calories even while you're sleeping!
7. Give it some time. Don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't move for a week or two. Just stick with what you're doing and the scale will eventually cooperate.

as an ex-boxer i can tell you this is the answer; drink 16 glasses of water daily, eat 8oz of boiled chicken with the skin off,eat all the salad you want, all the carrots you want, all the celery you want, you can eat 8oz of broiled fish on alternating days if you so desire instead of boiled skinless chicken. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU TAKE A MULTI-VITAMIN PILL EVERY DAY;The first week you will lose about 10 lbs, the 2nd and final week you will lose 6 lbs; after your final week, your body and stomach are accustomed to this regime and indeed your stomach will have shrinked and your body will recoil from any over-eating. You will feel like a new person and will be more apt to want to stay thin and avoid over eating, remember the vitamin pill--very importan; don't worry about the 16 glasses of water--if you do 10 a day it will still work

What is your goal? I tell people if they want more energy to read up on herbs. Nothing works better than herbs on the human body to boost energy levels. If you want to try herbs, go to an herbal shop that sells bulk herbs, not pills. Pills help destroy enzymes and nutrients the body needs, not what they say on the bottle. Another thing, cut out red meat and pork if possible. Eat more vegetables--steamed or stir-fried with tofu. Eat more fruits several times a day and drink either organic fruit juices or bottled pure water. Also, walk. Walk even after work or school at least two miles a day and try to work your way up to 5 miles a day. This increases your metabolism so that it burns calories and fat faster, yet you still retain the energy to do other things. May fortune smile upon you always.

There is a no diet weight loss plan called STACK that is natural and healthy and is very easy to use as it only takes 15 minutes a day to use. You do not eat or by special foods nor do you skip meals. It will help you to get back on track and it even has a money back guarantee.

Focus on your goal and perhaps add some variety to your diet and exercise routine. Try different fruits and veggies. Try a sport that is new to you and you have always wanted to try.

If you mean you want to "indulge" once more. I think its okay to treat yourself every now and then just as long as you make up for it in the next day.
