every Thanksgiving i make the traditional dinner, turkey mashed potatoes, and gravy, stuffing, corn but we also have ham and baked beans and salad usually a jello or fruit salad, a relish tray with veg and dip, home made dinner rolls, cheese cake and a variety of pies. my son likes oyster stew so sometimes i make that also. we usually have coffee, soda pop, and juice. to drink. sometimes we have green bean casserole but, it depends on how many people will be here for the dinner. and of course cranberrys and yams, just e-mail me if you need a recipe, let me know which one and i will get it to you on time.

Well my family loves "green bean almondine". I have no idea where the recipe came from originally, but it is a good way to dress up regular green beans. All you do is buy a big can of green beans, add butter, chopped onion, and a small package of almond slivers. Heat until boiling, reduce heat to about med-low and let simmer about 20 minutes or so. Very yummy. Here's what we're having for dinner just to give you some ideas: turkey, stuffing, mashed taters, gravy, green bean almondine, cheese ball and cracker, sweet potato casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. I hope this helps...good luck!

Sweet potato cheesecake!

The "meat" of two big, three small sweet potatoes, 2 packages of cream cheese and two eggs. Beat them in a mixer well

walnuts granded in a mill, some different size pices and nutmeg instead of crust

Bake for 40 minutes, 325

If you serve it with the turkey add nothing!
If it is by the end of the meat course add mapple syrop on the top.
People will appriciate the traditional taste of sweet potatoes and the more infusion approach of "not too sweet" aftertaste of this dish

Compliments will follow! promise!

We used this exact recipe last year and even though it's made to me healthy it was also extremely flavorful and filling. The recipe for the meal includes portions of stuffing, green beans, potatoes, carrots, and turnip, and explains how to put these together to make a healthy, tasteful, and exotic meal.
