The average person, male or female, farts 20 times a day. Studies show that boys and girls toot equally. But it might seem boys pass more gas than girls, says Dr. Shekhar Challa, a gastroenerologist in Topeka, Kan. Why is that? Well, guys tend to be more proud about pooting. Girls try to be more discreet. Want to cut down on cutting the cheese? Try drinking lots of water and avoid dairy, beans and gum for a few hours before, say, seeing a movie with your crush.

My brother used to count his when he was in elementary school. He got up to like 3000 in like 3 months. Hee hee it was funny. Sometimes we would be at the dinner table and he'd say.... "1,985." :)
