YI think so. Ho Chi Minh is considered the "father" of his country with the same reverence as Americans view George Washington. Of course there are more differences than similarities between the men but for their respective times and eras they were the spiritual leaders and fathers of their countries. Both are surrounded by as much myth as reality.

If I were to compare Ho Chi Minh to anyone in the Revolutionary War, it would be General Green. He pretty much did down south what Ho Chi Minh did in Vietnam. He kept the British running all over the place. And although he never won a battle (Neither did Ho Chi Minh), he depleted British supplies and won the war.

different than Ho Chi Minh grew to become into given capacity via those forces (u . s .) to overthrow the previous Vietnam government, which Nazi Germany amassed with the downing of France. South Vietnam grew to become into very plenty against Minh, so in a feeling you have a divided u . s . a ., it grew to become right into a civil conflict, not a unified one like the only Washington had which grew to become into strictly colonists vs British, in spite of the undeniable fact that human beings did have a Civil conflict in an prolonged time down the line, Washington grew to become into not alive right this moment.
