if you are new in this, than you shall try Nero burning room's plug-in called "Nero sound trax" and select the first type of project: "mix CD project".there you have everything you need to edit any song, add any song you want and then burn your compilation.very comprehensive too.and if you need to read more about this, here you have a link about their newest release: "Nero7" with their new "Nero sound trax 2" http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_SoundTrax_2.html
