Well, I really this guy. His name is John. I like him more than I have ever liked ay like guy before, but last year he really liked my friend. I was happy for them, but then he dumped her after like a week. At the start of this year, she was soo mad at him and I was afraid to talk to him because I thought that she would not talk to me again, but I did anyways. Now, they are just friends. But, yesterday I went to her house for her birthday party and he was there. The only reason that I went was to talk to him.. Ok, so at her party me and him were talking and she came over and sat on him and was trying to hold his hand. I could tell that he was uncomfortable by it. I was so jealous of them. He asked me if she still liked him and I did not want to tell him yes, so I asked him if he liked her, he said that he was not gonna go out with her again.
Bottom line is, I really like him, but I always feel really guilty after I talk to him because she still likes him.
What should I do?

I can't just distance myself from him because I grew up with this guy. And I only met my friend last year. When John and I were growing up I really did not talk to him because I was really shy, but my brother was in cubscouts and he was too, so when there was a pack meeting I would go to hang out with him. And, I think we were really good friends in sixth grade, but I really don't remember. Anyways, I like him too much to just leave him alone. Also, I do not know if my friend would even have a problem with us dating, probably. She always jokes about us dating

My friend and I are really good friends, we are not the bestest of friends, but we always have each other's backs. I like our friendship, I always give her advice on all of her problems, but the one time I need her the most, I am too scared to talk to her because I really don't want her to hate me.

The thing is that she really likes him, but he does not like her in the same mannor. When I asked him if he liked her, he did not really answer my question, he just said that he was not going to go out with her again, so I really do not know if he likes her. I don't know if he likes me, but when I talk to him he is all smile, and his smile is soo cute, it makes me smile. idk

I think that you should try to talk to your friend and tell her that (I don't know) you like this guy too and you just want to see if he likes you. Tell her to give you a month to work on it and if nothing happens, hes all hers, so if nothing happens, you won't fell guilty. If something does happen, then tell her to give you more time to make your mind up. (If you like like him, or not.)

Tell this guy you like him & if he wants to go out with you then do it. Just tell your friend that you have liked him for ages. She might not talk to you though for a while but she will be OK.

how serious is the friendship between you and her? it seems as though you already have your answer because you went ahead and talked to him anyway, despite whatever her feelings were about the fact that he dumped her.

to the point he might be the one for you and you'll never know if she's you friend she'll understand but either way you have one one shot at true love so to find it you have to look.
