As long as you haven't taken on any more debt or had anything else go into collections over the past 18 months it should have gone up significantly. You can do a free credit check to make sure. Just google "Free Credit Report" and you'll be able to find a good one. They'll give you a free report up front and have you sign up for a subscription that you can cancel anytime. You just want to make sure you cancel that subscription immediately after you get your free report.

Good luck and way to go with paying so much off in so little time!!!

Anything adverse stays for 7 years from date of last activity or major delinquency, with the exception of bankruptcy or tax liens. Your score depends on the rest of your credit history as well. If you have numerous collections and just pay off one, it will make very little difference, if any. The payment history on the credit card will have more effect than the balance if it was paid late, sent to collection or charged off. The score is based on payment history, balances, age of credit, balance of types of credit used, and new credit applications.

Yes, your score will eventually go up. The debt will stay on your report for 7 years from the original date the debt was reported. (It will show a balance of 0.)

It should have. Contact the credit agency that reported you medical bill and dispute the record based on the fact that you were unaware of the bill/ You may be able to get them to remove it for nothing.

Based on what you indicate you would see a definite and significant improvement. My guess is over 100 points. I have done a lot of credit rescoring and seen this kind of improvment frequently.

Here is some additional info. Hope this helps.
