I am curious to know if anyone knows of a monastic order in Catholicism, that advocates asceticism?

And please, no answers of Opis Dea, or anything related to Dan Brown or his books.

All monastic orders advocate some level of asceticism. I suggest you research these most popular orders:

Augustinians
Benedictines
Bridgettines
Camaldolese
Carmelites
Carthusians
Celestines
Cistercians
Conventuals
Cluniacs
Discalced Carmelites
Franciscans
Melanesian Brotherhood
Olivetans
Premonstratensians, also known as Norbertines.
Silvesterines
Trappists
Vallombrosans
Visitation Sisters

With love in Christ.

All monastic orders advocate, to one degree or another, an ascetic life. Monasticism is an expression of asceticism.

Is not asceticism advocated and practiced by all monastic orders within the Catholic tradition?

That has been my understanding, anyway.

They mostly do, I believe. The Benedictine Monks come to mind first since they are widely known for their great wineries... lol.

Then there's the Dominican Monks and the Franciscan Monks among others. You'll have to do your own research for each one's Orders in order to find out their specific vows though...

Peace be with you.
