I went to church for confession because I did something very horrible and it would make me feel better if I confess and pray. I was about to go in but my Sunday teacher pull me out and told me that I can’t confess my sins because I didn’t get my first communion. So, I can’t go in to confess because I didn’t get my first communion? So, god won’t forgive me?

According to the Bible (and to reason) we confess our sins and God will forgive and purify us.
See below:
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:8-10 (in Context) and 1 John 1).
I believe that our "first communion" with God is our "first prayer or confession". Communion means "getting together with". In the case, with God!

You must recieve the sacrament of reconciliation before you make your first communion, but if this is the first time to recieve the sacrament of reconciliation you have to first go through the proper training so you will fully understand what it is you are doing. You said that you wanted to confess so you would feel better. Although confession does make you feel better, that is not the purpose of the sacrament. The purpose is to reconcile with God. If you did something so horrible that you feel that you need to confess right away before completing the proper training, perhaps you should speak to a priest and ask for his advice. There are always exceptions. Hope this helps.

God bless,

I hope you will print all these answers and stuff it down your teacher's throat . He/she had a lot of nerve to pull you out and keep you from talking to God and ask for forgiveness .
I have been a Catholic all my life and off and on more or less dedicated , but always talked to God and asked for his merciful understanding and forgiveness . Going to communion comes AFTER you confess . We are all sinners and weak .
You can speak to God anywhere anytime . Pray for what you want and believe in .
You sound like a very caring and conscientious person . Sit quietly in your room and open your heart to the Lord . He will forgive anything , just ask .

What????? That teacher needs to go back to school. In the Catholic Church, the only "pre-requisite" for the Sacrament of Reconciliation is that one be baptized. In my experience, most kids actually go to their first confession BEFORE they receive First Communion. And sacraments aside, if you are truly sorry and ask for forgiveness, God will forgive you. Period, end of report.

before receiving communion you are supposed to confess so i think your teacher made a mistake, unlike the other answers i read, going to confession is very important, yes we need to confess to god aswell but we can do this through the priest and you should go to a church confession atleast once a year. jesus himself confessed his sins to john the baptist, why would jesus himself confess his sins to a human person?thus it is important, also jesus passed the keys of heaven to peter and told him that what he bound on earth would be bound in heaven and what he loosed on earth woult be loosed in heaven, therefore taking example from the earliest christians we see the role of confession continuing from the true church of christ, the catholic church. don't let the other answers dismay you,the bible they read is an altered version of the catholic bible and therefore they do not have the truth as we know it to be,they are so caught up on man made teachings yet they use the bible and and many practices of martin luther-a man. then also note that most have their own pope within the pastor of their church, who when they have a problem go straight to the pastor for advicec and not always straight to prayer or the bible.

(God's words not mine):

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1John 1: 9 says this: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." It doesn't say anything there with regard to communion. You can go to God anytime with anything. He will listen to all those who belong to Him. Happy Thanksgiving! :)

No if this is true which I doubt unless you are a very bright little kid, your teacher is wrong. You must FIRST receive the Sacrament of Penance before your first Communion.

Well, in our Church, you can't get communion until you confess your sins.
