We have a 98 Volkswagon Jetta, and the brake light, (not the hand brake, but the actuall brake) ligth won't come off to put the car in drive or reverse. Is there any really easy fixes I can do to actually drive the car???

if all of the brake lights are staying on then look behind the pedal and there may be a small button/switch that is stuck. It may be bad, or your relay may be bad. Under the dash or under the hood. sounds like it should be cheap to have it fixed.

take the car to auto zone and get them to run a free computer check on it, then get them to see the problem in it and they can also turn out the light for you if there is no problem thats going to make the run unproper then they will reset the computer to take off the light for you.
