Not based on what we are told by religious leader or your holy book, but looking around at the world, is God caring? playful? vengeful? apathetic? Does He appreciate a good joke? Does He get bored? Can He get sad or depressed?

Or is it useless to assign human emotions to God?

God is God... He is great because look at all he created, he is mercifull because look at all he allows us to do, he is smart, he is kind hearted, he is sorrowfull when his children don't obey his laws and teachings... He is mighty and just God...

Our human emotions, only in it's best form, emulate God's characteristics. God is love. Vengeful? Righteously so. Playful? yes and also artistic. Look at God's palette of colours on this planet. Apathetic? Never! Why? Because he has hope for mankind knowing that He has instilled in us the BEST traits he could give us. Never!! He cares for us unconditionally. Bored? No. He can do anything! Sad or depressed? Really, do you need to ask? Look at what we have done with the world he gave us...A sense of humour? Of course....He made us didn't He??
Lighten up...Love a little...Relax...Commune with your Creator...He would love to hear your prayers/thoughts. Why? Because He's our Dad kiddo.....

Have you ever looked around at some of the animals God created? Like the platapus? Talk about a sense of humor!!! God has emotions like us only His are pure and Holy. But the Only place to find that information is in the BIBLE. try reading Matthew Mark Luke and John. Jesus came to show us what the Father was like.

It is useless to find out what God is like by only looking around at the world.

If an ant would look only at the world around it, would it be able to find out what any particular human is like? Can we by only looking at others find out what they are like? How often have we not had to change our opinion of another after spending some time with that person?

If you want to know what God is like, you really must spend time with Him.

What I saw of god is a great light that is life giving, there is no form to god nor will anyone person see the same thing. It is to what we understand what god is. I have seen, but not with human eyes. Our bodies would be shattered to pieces by the shear power that god is.

God is a being of flesh and bone as tangible as our own. He is glorified and perfected. If we obey and follow Him, we can also become glorified as He is and dwell in His presence.
Besides that, I see Him my mind as the perfect father or parent. He can listen to my concerns and send me impressions or inspiration as answers to my prayers. He chastises me when I make mistakes by making me feel bad and losing some of the peace of mind I used to have. When I correct my mistakes, I get the peace of mind back letting me know that I am back on the right track. I feel that He is loving, compassionate, humorous and possessing of all the knowledge that I may ever need to know. He is my Father and my friend. He is my companion and helper. He is my God.

It is not useless to assign human emotions to God, since the Bible does so. You're asking us to guess what God is like. Everyone has their own ideas.

However, God has told us what He is like...in the Bible. So, read the Bible. It is God's self-revelation to us.

it is useless to assign Human emotions to God in the sense of what your thinking.

God is all caring, and loving.

We asked Him to stay out of our schools and now with the help of the aclu we are asking Him to stay out of our live.
Yet we wonder and even blame Him when a tragedy occurs.
Like the gengleman He is He backed out when we asked, so why get mad when something bad happens?
