A couple of places in Revelation it tells us specifically what the interpretation is, so yeah, we're suppose to understand it. Some people don't get it, and I'm sorry about that, but its really not that complicated. How can anyone biblically support the fact that some people just don't get it?

TIME
Matt.24:3,7,14,15,22,34,36-38 [ Only God knows day and hour the world from Eden ends]; If 6,130 years, who can know the day and hour to Rev.20:1-6,12,13 No more Satan. Eph.2:7; 3:21 World with Jesus is without end.
1Thes.5:1-9,21 Jesus does not come as a thief in the night to children of the light of times and seasons.
Jesus in Empire #6, In heavens waits for Rev.12:3,4,6-12 Satan cast down to end Empire #7, Satan has a short time in the 8th, The word of God to the world has a short time [ it is 2520 after Babylon Empire #3 ]; Rev.9:1-5 the pit is open for Satan AND THE SEALED OF GOD ARE THERE.
Time is every thing and no one cares for world history in time or the bible in time or why it is 2006 after Christ.

The Book which many people know as the Book of Revelation was originally known, and is still known, as the Apocalypse of St. John.
Since no one has been able to successfully figure out what it means, I think the original name is still the best one.

What's missing from their understanding (and yours) is that IT'S ALL MADE UP.
There is no evidence that there is any god. There is no evidence that any god has ever given any revelation to anybody. And those who give out so-called revelations have done no better than chance in predicting future events (in other words, you'd be just as accurate as any "prophet" in history by just flipping a coin).

Much of it is symbolic. You need to study all kinds of theology, not just the Bible alone to get a feel for what these dreams symbolize.

"Much of it is symbolic". More like - all of it is made up.
