This girl and I have been dating not too long. (>1wk) . She is likes me and I like her too. She's invited me to her place where we kissed, hugged.. It turns out that she's just broken up with her BF. I am afraid that I could be the rebound. She's one of my classmates. What bothers me that she keeps telling people that we know that we are seeing each other to prevent rumors from spreading. I don't know what to do. Should I abstain from her or what? I have started to have feelings for her. Your response in any shape or fashion means alot to me

Don't get too connected or attached, whatever you do, that's for sure. The last thing you want is to fall head over heels for some girl and end up getting hurt. I hate to break it to you, but most likely, she is on the rebound, and unfortunately, rebounds never seem to work. Try the relationship out for a while, and see what happens. Don't abstain from her and weird her, or even yourself, out. Just try and see what you both can get out of it, and if you both don't see it going anywhere in the long run, what's the point? Have a nice little chat with her about it!

Good luck, and I hope all works out for ya ;-)

if she is telling people that you know than of course its going to spread around. you don't have to tell anyone but it will be obvious especially if you guys are always around each other. it doesn't matter who knows. a relationship is between two people. it is not between you guys and everyone else in the school. anyways, i think you are a rebound. she's trying to get over him so by getting a new boyfriend quickly she thinks the feelings will stop but they won't. how long did she go out with her ex-boyfried? If was for a month or less maybe she didn't really have deep feelings for him. If its more than that then she's using you as a rebound.

She may still have feelings for her ex, it seems you are the rebound relationship. A week is a short time, you are jumping to conclusions, moving too fast, worrying too much. Think seriously if you want to be her "rebound" guy.
