I've heard that CHI straighteners are supposed to be really good for your hair, compared to other straighteners. It also makes your hair look really shiny and silky. When I got my hair done a few weeks ago, my girl straightened it with a CHI, and everyone thought I got my hair colored because it made my natural color look so much more vibrant (not sure if that's typical, or if it just happened to me).
My favorite thing about the CHI is the shape of it. You can do so much with it (straighten, flip, even curl), and it won't make your hair stick out like other straighteners do.
I actually just ordered one and I'm just waiting for it to get here.

I own a CHI and I love it! It's different from regular hair straighteners because CHI is made of ceramic and gives better results. My hair is extremely frizzy, wavy, and stubborn and regular hair straightener didn't help my hair at all. I didn't get any result;however, CHI not only straightens my hair, it makes it shiny, smooth and silky.

I have used the Chi iron for years as a professional and have turned all my clients onto it. The newer ones "Do" have a high, low setting! It is a more professional iron as apposed to the more cheaper ones out there. You will pay more but it will straighten your hair so much faster. So basically the difference is the cheaper the less strait and longer it takes. It will also last much longer than a cheaper one.

Everything that's been said so far is perfectly true. CHI hair straighteners may be more expensive, but their really straiten more, better and faster. I have extremely curly hair and it's the only one that works for me without making me waste 45 minutes of my time! For more info, go on the company's website... http://www.farouk.com/

Chi's are higher heat and straighten faster. They are not good for colored hair because they can fry fragile hair, as they do not have a temperature switch. If you have curly hair it might be a good investment, if you have straight hair, it might not be worth it.
