Will the cast iron vessels available in Target,JC Penney etc which are pre seasoned or have some coating on their cooking side be effective in increasing iron /heamoglobin of the human body?Also are cast irons safe in dishwashers?

Preseasoned just means you don't have to season it with oil. Preseasoned is fine.

If there is some kind of coating, it could block iron from leeching into food which is what you want. That would depend on the coating.

Never put cast iron in the dishwasher. Manufactures recommend that you merely wipe them with a paper towel. You should not use harsh soaps, steel wool pads, or abrasive cleansers. If you do, then you have to season the pan again, and that is tedious.

You need to get most of your iron from your diet. Dark green, leafy veggies are excellent. Some meats (liver) are too. Unsulfured blackstrap molasses is great. Put a tablespoon in hot water instead of having coffee.
