If she comes from a very abusive background with no attachment to any family members in her life and has only had negative experiences, is it wrong to lose her virginity this way? Are their ethical reasons not to do it? Does that really make the guy a pervert? What if he loves her?

Just make sure that she isn't being manipulated. I won't say anything about the age difference because it's nobody else's concern. But, if she really has an abusive background and no attachments, it's very possible that she is not in a stable frame of mind. Make sure that she is not "in love" with him just because she likes the idea of having someone finally care for her.

The question is structured such that it sounds like a QUEST to be CONQUERED.

YES IT IS WRONG...

If this girl has waited this long ...she should wait til she is married... taking this would only be adding to a list of NEGATIVE experiences.

If he LOVES her...then he should MARRY her...
40 years is a heck of a May-December romance.

OVERALL though:
The age of WHO does it has nothing to do with it (in that aspect...to each his/her own)...the morality of "taking the virginity" has everything to do with it, especially with a rough abusive past.

Sorry if that stepped on some toes...but it was asked. I'd recommend some therapy for all involved.

Tough question. As long as she's legal and feels the same way about this 60 year old that he feels for her, there isn't a problem, but alot of people are gonna see this as some major cradle-robbing.

A guy of his age either has problems or he is a pervert just wanting sex. 40 year difference is a lot ...
And a 20 year old virgin giving herself to him has problems also.
She should be with a younger man.. Sex as a virgin should be with someone she truly loves.

I think it pretty gross. He is basically taking advantage of a girl who is looking for love (in all the wrong places). At 60 he should know better. He should be the adult and get her into counseling, not into his bed.

it depends on the circumstances --- if they really love each other it would have been better to wait for a while
