Short answer yes, but not for good reasons.
Steam will make you sweat, therefore you will lose water weight.
But you will need to replenish that water so you don't have side-effects from too little hydration.
But steam is crazy good for relaxing your muscles and cleaning your pores.
So enjoy steam, but drink water after.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Yes, it can help with weight loss, just make sure you drink plenty of water after sitting in one.
A steam room will help relax the muscles after a good work out and you will not experience as much soreness as normal.

it will make you lose water weight, but that weight just comes right back after drinking anything, although a steam room does provide a very relaxing enviorment and can help skin.

It will only make you sweat, which will cause some weight loss from dehydration. This is not a healthy way to lose weight.
Treat it as a way to relax, but don't stay in there very long.

yes and no, you lose weight through sweating, which is just water that you will have to replace to stay hydrated. Steam is healthy for the skin, it opens the pores and helps clean them out. Limit your exposure though, you don;t want to elevate your core temp for too long.
