It was a way of making a point, Though this certain person has brought up the subject before, it is a way to deter Republicans from going to war by making it a possibility for those who come from all sorts of backgrounds be it rich or poor have to go fight as well. . Meaning Senators and Congressman's children to have to go no matter what. Well that's what i got from this news article. Read it and make your own opinion :)

One senator proposed that we reinstate the draft. All the other democratic senators have decided that they will not endorse a draft. Case closed. I'm with you. We should get out of places where we do not belong. I think it's absolutely disgusting that we are in Iraq. Iraq has a culture that we are not going to conquer today, tomorrow or in the future. Bring the troops home.

TO SEND THERE SONS AND DAUGHTERS.
It would help THE Moral of the soldiers. I HAVE A GIRL COUSIN WHO WAS KILLED AND A
GUY FRIEND. wHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT
THE ONES WHOSE PARENTS ARE IN GOVERNMENT POSITIONS WHY DON'T THEY GO WHEN IT IS A DRAFT OR WHEN IT IS VOLUNTARILY. tHEY are not any different than
any other young people. Yes I'm talking about the
Bush twins and also the men in the Bush family who are old enough to go.

We ARE NOT in anyplace that we don't belong.
You are very gullible. Think a little.
The Draft: Several Democrats are blowing just to screw gullible people like you around.
The Military does NOT want a Draft, because it would mean a much lower quality of people being soldiers.
The Cream of the Crop have already enlisted and are still enlisting.

Charlie Rangal, Democrat Congressman from NY has proposed a return to the draft. Yes, the American voters returned the Democrats to power two weeks ago and one of the first things they want to do is reinstate the draft!! Huh???? Democrats, anti-war, want to force young men and women into the military. How ironic is that?
OH YE WHO VOTED FOR DEMOCRATS!
OH YE SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!

Same guy has tried to reintroduce it before. Personally I'd like to see some junior Bushes sent to Iraq, but then I'm too old and too British to join up so I can be offhand about it.
