Wedding gowns can range from $200 - $10,000 - depending on style, fabric, designer, etc. A private label gown (David's Bridal, etc) can average around $500-$1500 - a couture designer gown would average $3000-$5000.
Bridesmaid gowns can very depending on style and fabric as well but you can get very nice ones for $100-$200 if you look. My bridesmaids gowns were only $50 - but we had to really look to find em:)

Check out http://davidsbridal.com they have tons to choose from and the price ranges vary pretty good, but most are actually reasonable. As for bridesmaids dresses, they hav eyou covered there too, with coordinating seperates and matching gowns, the whole nine yards. Plus, if you are getting married sometime next year, like in the fall, you can always shop for bridesmaids dresses now, buy them at the end of this fall season so that they will be cheaper. They can always be altered by the time the wedding rolls around.

Wedding dresses can range from super cheap to more than a brand new car. It depends on what you're looking for.
Find out what you like, David's Bridal is a great place to start. Also, if you like a dress but it's way too expensive, show it to a professional seamstress and see how much she/he could make it for.
Something else, wedding gowns are expensive...my friend that recently got married found this gorgeous bridesmaids dress and used it as a wedding dress...all dresses start out white usually! I

I think the average wedding gown is like $600-$1200. And for bridesmaids from like $120-$250. My only advice is to try on lots of dresses!! Even if you love the first one you put on. :) Have fun and congrats!!!

You can find a really nice gown (davids bridal) from 300-1k...if you choose to go couture, then look into spending 3k+. As for the bridesmaids, unless you're getting Vera Wang, expect to pay 130-200.
