Theres an idea going on in this country that if you don't like something you can sue, and that's what I'm doing.

I can't believe people are still sneaking in **** about god in schools. I'm tired of that too. Why does everyone assume we are all pro god? I think you should sue for all you can. That's illegal and the teacher is breaking the law! See if you can google a lawyer that caters to that topic and she or he could give you some good advise.

Good Luck,
Kelly

Dear 200 IQ,

I would recommend that you sue the institution that tested your IQ and gave you a score of 200--it is definitely much, much lower. Then you should sue your parents for not getting you into a mentally handicapped curriculum.
Why do you think the pilgrims came to America from England? To have religious freedom. Why do you think the Crusades took place in earlier centuries? Are you familiar with the wars that have taken place in Ireland between the Catholics and Protestants. This is ALL a part of HISTORY.

Sue for whatever you want, I am sure your County or City has the same laws mine has. You are blocked from most lawsuits but if you are allowed to sue, the caps are really low. I think our county has a $10,000 limit & I do not think you can prove damage as your sons must hear about God on radio, TV, from friends & etc. They will live without any trauma if you leave them alone.

By the way an IQ over 200 is called an Unmeasurable Deviation & no one has been truly identified as such including Marilyn Savant, Einstein, Plato & etc. IQ & knowledge are not the same.

You should not sue for anything.

Separation of church and state means no national religion, and no forcing of any religion by any state agency, including schools, but it does not mean denying/ignoring God in public schools.

Whether you believe in a higher power or not does not change the fact that there are millions of people who do. It is important for our learning institutions to recognize this, because what is school for? Preparing our children for the world.

It is important to acknowledge the existence of other beliefs because ignorance is not helpful to anyone, including your son.

And by suing the school district you are only suing yourself and your neighbors. Instead of suing, and overreacting, go to the school board and say, "I don't appreciate this" and talk it out like a civilized and reasonable person. You get a lot more respect that way.

WHAT!!!! You want to sue someone for mentioning god? Are you living in the 21st century AD or 21st century BC?
You have no right to decide what the teahcer says in the lecture. If you don't like what they teach change schools.
Better yet home tutor your son.

Someday you will meet God and will have to pay back anything you won. If the worse thing your son ever has to experience is a teacher mentioning God, you should get down on your knees and profusely thank this God you seem to hate so much.

Yet if atheist remove the prayer from school and move ten comandments from public building, Christian can't sue.
Yet the atheist asked "WHY.. WHY.." when there's school's shooting..
Yet the answer is so simple. When a child based his/her moral values on someone like you, well there's the answer..
Feel bad for your children, have to grow up with you.

How do you expect your child to get a good education without the mention of God? After all, religion is a big part of world history, and to deny your child hearing about world history is total neglect of your child's education. You need help. Perhaps you should have your child taken from you for neglect! Think about it! Surely you jest!

Madelyn Murry O'Hair, world-famous atheist, raised her children as atheists. One turned out to be a Christian Evangelist and Apologist. You need to take great care or you child may just end up as a Christian! Yikes! God must be smiling.

this is obviously one of those stupid questions to provoke arguments , If you don't like what the school teaches pay for a private education , a tutor or school your kids yourself , if your really desperate enough for money to sue an educational facility over such a petty matter , why don't you just go and sell yourself , there both on the same level of morals in my book

No need to sue. People are too sue happy in this country is it sickening. If you don't like it, make sure you're teaching your children YOUR beliefs and hope they follow suit, like all us Christian people have to do with our children because we assumably have no rights in that matter. OR you can pull your kid out of school and teach him/her yourself. Good luck on that.

If you sue (and win), the education authority will have less money to spend on education.

The only people who win in such cases are lawyers.

This compensation culture has screwed up society. Some things are nobodys fault.
