i have been taking tylenol 3 for a toothache but it only works for about an hour so i was going to switch to percacet(spelling?) When will it be safe to start taking them? I just took my last tylenol 3 about 20 min. ago, And it says to take every 4 hours. After the 4 hours is up, can i take the percacet then or should i wait longer?

Percocet and Tylenol 3 are the same thing; Percocet is stronger. You didn't mention what dose you're taking, but you can take the Percocet safely 4 hours after a dose of Tylenol 3.

I would wait about an hour and then take the stronger pill

Most doctors will allow you to take Tylonel and something stronger to help with the pain
