Well, if you want to lose weight you have to increase the exercise and decrease the caloric intake. That being said, anorexia presents a particular problem to losing weight. Most people equate being a lower weight with looking better, but with anorexia that is not necessarily the case. When you cut your calories below about 1000 your body goes into starvation mode, stops burning fat and starts eating muscle. You might get down to 100 pounds, but you will still be above 18% body fat because the body hangs onto fat when it is in starvation mode. It is quite ironic if you think about it.

If you want to get down under 5% body fat which is what really fit male athletes tend to be under, you will actually have to eat more food and exercise alot. For a male I would suggest 2200-2400 calories a day with very low fat and lots of protein (soy protein shakes are ideal). No cheating allowed. You have to follow an extremely strict regimen of lots of soy protein, high fiber grains only, no sugar, and no fatty foods. You also have to exercise at least an hour a day.

I understand wanting to be thin and the way pro ana and mia view overly thin bodies as beautiful, but guess what...They might be thin with bones sticking out, but underneath it all they are still fat. It is not physically possible for them to get their body fat percentages down into the single digits no matter how much they starve themselves (post mortem medical tests show they still have lots of fat). You can be much thinner and trimmer than they are. Food is not the enemy, it is merely a tool that you can wield to sculpt your body into the ultimate machine. Not only can you get your body fat percentage much lower than the so called "pro ana and mia", you can physically surpass them in any respect.

It is obvious that you have enough discipline to give up food when you want to, but do you have enough to continue eating but only certain foods? I know from personal experience it is much easier to give up food completely than follow a strict food regimen. After about 2 weeks without food the hunger pains are gone and you start feeling more energetic. When you choose to eat only healthy foods your stomach is unforgiving and it takes much longer for your body to adapt. When you choose to wake up 2 hours early every morning to work out you have to give up late nights and listen to your alarm and suffer through muscle soreness. Are you strong enough to do that, or are you just satisfied with taking the easy way out? How much fat will they find on your corpse when you die?

If you know you're anorexic, then get some help or you're going to die...not kidding. You won't have any muscle mass and you'll turn into a skeleton. As your body starves it will consume fat and then muscle, if you go long enough it will shut down organs and start to consume them...and it's not going to feel good at all.

This is a life threatening issue you are dealing with right now. Start eatting or you will eventually either a)die from this or b) get locked up and force feed through a tube.

That's the reality of it.
