Well you have to know the type of guy you are dealing with. I mean if he is interested in you for a relationship, or just a sexual thing, or just as a friend. Is he or does he appear to be a jock specific, more into politics,city happenings, or all around. I mean its sounds like I just read a tribune to you but that is how you can break guys down. I would say talk to him about everything that interest you and see where that goes, see if he can hold a conversation. For me its just finding out what type of mind you have a working or non-working basically, cause I cant stand someone who just has no clue to the world around them or nothing to say about life period.

Depends on the guy and what you have in common.
Most guys I know enjoy talking about their favorite movies and TV shows. I like to text a girl I like while watching a show we have in common as events happen on the show. Then call and talk to them after about the show. Things usually snowball, conversation-wise, from there.

About why you are texting them. Here try this, stop texting him and see if he text you back. That in itself will say alot about what he thinks of texting. Take your time and make sure you are ready. If you don't know what to talk about, then maybe you shouldn't talk until you know what it is that you like about him.

When my girlfriend texted/called me every day, i broke up with her. Most guys dont like to be constantly bugged, its definately nice to get a call every now and then, but dont overdue it. Answering your question, guys are different then girls, they dont really call eachother unless they have something to say. If he really likes you, he will be happy talking about what you want to talk about
