I have been taking tylenol 3 for a toothache but it only works for about an hour so i was going to switch to percacet(spelling?) When will it be safe to start taking them? I just took my last tylenol 3 about 20 min. ago, And it says to take every 4 hours. After the 4 hours is up, can i take the percacet then or should i wait longer?

You have an hour 'window'. You can take the percocet in 3 hours after taking the tylenol 3.
Make sure you aren't allergic to percocet.
If you are in doubt of anything I am telling you, feel free to either call your doc or pharmacist and ask them.
Make sure you rinse your mouth with salt water and do it often. Motrin may help too with any inflammation you have. You can take both percocet and motrin together if you want.
A mouth rinse will help too. If you have a good rappor with your dentist, you may want to ask for some 'dental wax' to stick in the tooth that is giving you trouble. It will block any food from getting in there and staying in there.
Use anbesol or orajel. That also helps.
Hope you feel better.

You should always ask your doctor who prescribed them if you don't like the pills or they aren't working... I would never just go ahead and take a different prescription drug without running it past the doctor first.
