Im 5 foot 2 and I weigh 129 pounds. I'm 11. Do you think that is overweight? What kind of diet should I go onto lose weight?

Okay. I hope you want me to be honest. It's not fat, but it's not skinny either. When I was 11 I was also 5' 2'' and I weighed 92 pounds, I could have done with losing weight. So this is what I did:
1. It's hard but eat healthy foods with little fat
2. Don't stuff yourself
3. Don't eat when your not hungry
4. Push yourself to work out
5. Eat less

I do think that's a bit over weight for your age. Although you are a growing girl, your body is starting to change. But is it healthy weight (muscle vs. fat) Also America is known for obesity. We also have a problem with overweight teens in this country, so yes you should be concerned for your health. Could this be a situation were your a overweight child. And the fact of the matter is we all should watch what we eat and how much we eat. As you get older and the weight is still an issue just stay active and exercise and eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and plenty of water. You'll be fine Talk with your parents and doctor about this issue.

You are not overweight. You are a growing girl and shouldn't be on a diet. However, it is never a bad idea to start a new physical activity.

At your age, you should focus on exercise and not a weight loss diet. If you want to be more trim, eat good foods and only one portion. Do not eat desserts. They have no value to you.
For exercise, choose something you like to do.That way you will continue to do it.

thats not overweight , why would you think that , thats healthy and being eleven .. your body has alot of changes to go through yet, so dont be that critical of your weight, have a nice day and enjoy life !!!!

at age 11 with you starting to obsess about being over weight maybe you should talk to your Dr.
