I've heard a lot of talk amongst my female friends that "If you drink/eat nothing but water for two days (48 hours) you'll lose 10 pounds". Does this sound realistic of true to you? If so, do you have any resources to show?

Eating nothing isn't healthy. I have gone on a water & vitamin 2-day fast that helps shrink your stomach a little in preparation for trying to eat less. It IS healthy to fast once in a while - just make sure to take vitamins and you have to drink lots of water.

Don't plan on losing 10 pounds in 2 days..... sounds like water weight - not real weight. You only lose real weight but cutting out sugar and starch..... even cutting out soda will lead to weight loss if you drink a lot of soda.

I personally dont thing this sounds realistic because weight loss is based on activity and eating right, and this method involves neither of those. Eating right is not eating nothing. This would not be effective and could be potentially dangerous.
