What's the best thing I can do? Take it to prayer? Pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit to come upon her?

How do you know that she already doesn't have the Holy Spirit? A lot of people have it and aren't outwardly "on fire" all the time. Sometimes the Spirit deals with me and I'm in this like "peaceful" atmosphere where I just feel God's presence. Then, yes there are times when I'm on fire. But just let her be and pray for her. Something will touch her heart at God's own timing. It's great that she's at least going to church. I'm sure she's glad to have you as her son.

How do u know that she is not on fire for the Lord or His word.
Different people have different ways of showing their Love for the Lord. She goes to church, which is good. You aren't around her all the time, she may witness to others when you are not there.
She may do intercession for others. There are a lot of things that she could be doing that you aren't aware of. Just because she doesn't do what you do does not mean she isn't on fire for the Lord or His word. Doesn't the Bible say judge not. Not everyone who is on fire for the Lord spends as much time in the Word as you probably do. God looks on our hearts. Some people are more reserved than others. Some people witness all the time, shout, sing, dance, speak in tongues all the time, witness on the street, and so forth. Others are more restrained in their worship . The best thing to do is love her, don't preach or judge her. Cast the care of it upon the Lord because He cares for you and for her.

Prayer is the most effective thing you can do. You can't talk someone into being passionate about the Lord. All you can do is be salt (makes people hungry and thirsty) and light and trust God to stir in her heart a longing to want to know Him more.

Prayer would be the number 1 place to start I believe. Remember it is God's annointing thru the pastors surmon or maybe even thru you in a conversation that could break thru to her.
There are many ways to pray for it.
I would pray that God open her mind and give her clarity to his Holy word.
You also might talk to your pastor...tell him/her of your concerns. Ask for some bible verses that might prepare you for a conversation with her.

Take it to prayer, then pray taht she receives the holy ghost. Baptism is joing a church by complete imerssion of water to wash your sins away then you are confirmed upon you the receiving of the holy ghost.

If you feel you must do something, then pray. But remember, "being on fire for the Lord" doesn't come across the same in every person. For some people it might be a very outward thing, for others, something deep within his or her heart.

Do both. Draw her with love and a loving example. Follow the fruits of the Spirit. It would be wonderful if you could read a Psalm together at breakfast or a verse in the evening. Older people move slower, think slower, make decisions slower. She is probably looking for long term results of your faith--so be a light that shines!

we all grow in grace at different levels, pray for your mom and with her.you can go to God in pray, but remember to say if it be your will other wise your going to Him in the flesh and not the holy spirit and when we worship we must worship in truth and in spirit. and unless she truly believes that Jesus died for her sins she may not be ready yet to receive the holy ghost, that is a gift that only God can give.

I'd take it to prayer. Because that's the Holy Spirit's job. Love and encourage her and be open to her questions.

Most importantly, be the silent example to her. Don't preach at her, but let your light shine before her.

the lord will use her in the way he sees fit, let her be and if you feel compelled to then pray on the matter. she can have the spirit but we all have different callings and different ways of showing the spirit.
