i'm trying to find out how much egg substitute would equal 1 whole egg. does anybody know?
okay, so i've found out that 1/4 cup equals one whole egg. so if a recipe calls for 1 or 2 tbsp egg substitute, is it okay to use the whole egg anyway?

I would say that 1/2 cup of egg substitute (like Egg Beaters) equals 1 1/2 eggs. They sell them in individual cups that have exactly 1 cup in them. I used to have to eat 3 eggs per day or one cup of egg substitute (no questions please), so there it is.

I know that 1/4 cup of Egg Beaters equals 1 whole egg.

4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup so you would need 1/2 and egg.
Best way is to scramble it then measure 1-2 tablespoons of eggs

Which substitute?
flax seeds- 1 Tb + 3Ts water
silken tofu- 1/4c
banana- 1/2 a average banana
soy yogurt- 1/4c
Ener-G- 1.5Tb + Tb water (this doesn't work as well as the ones listed above though)
