There is a difference between a believer and one that is saved. Even Satan believes in Jesus. If one is not saved, that means Confessing you are a sinner and excepting Jesus Christ a your savior then yes anyone that is not saved and only acknowledges that there is a God can be possessed. When a person is truly saved, they have the Holy Spirit living in them and they can not be possessed. Those that are saved could be tempted into things or be attacked spiritually, but not possessed. Saying that one has to remember that Satan does attack God's children in different ways but can not possess a true believer who has been saved because the devil is not greater than God. Satin is an angel who wanted to be praised like God and was cast down from heaven. He is not a God. ..powerful yes Satan is...but not nearly as powerful as Jesus Christ.
keep in mind there are many that claim to be saved and aren't and many false religions

pick up a Holy Bible and read it several times, study it and pray before reading that you receive the message in stored so that you will not be deceived.

It is virtually impossible for a believer in Christ to be possessed by a demonic force because he has the holy Spirit indwelling him. And also God says "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world". When God comes into your heart to stay, nothing can come in that is of another supernatural force. He can be affected by demonic forces that he sees but he cannot be possessed or indwelt by demonic forces.

Read a Book (by Bob Larson its entitled In the name of Satan)
its his experiences as an exorcist. One needs only sin once and the demon can enter and become a gateway demon allowing more in to possess you.

If then its clear that your are not mad, but possessed, a cleric from the catholic church will try to hunt the devil out
the question if a believer can gets possessed is irrelevant. When you read the bible you will see, that you can get punished for the sins of your ancestors like it is described in Jeremia for the whole nation of Israel

My personal belief is that there is no such thing as demonic
possession in a supernatural sense. We are tempted by life
to seek superficial material possessions and these desires
can and often do make us do things that our spirits find reprehensible. A person can logically see the error of their
ways and change those actions unilaterally without and Divine
intervention.

Satan has great power. Even those who believe and are faithful can be possessed or even have their life shortened by Satan and his demons. Pretty freaky if you ask me. Example you ask? Jobs family and servants. It would appear that God did this, but it was the work of Satan allowed by God.

--The Holy spirit lives in those who are saved. A born again christian cannot be demon posessed- if someone claims to be saved and then ends up being demon posessed they were not saved to begin with. Satan has NO place in those who are God's children, or sheep. God is greater than he! And God has the victory!

any one can be possessed if they let their guard down and invite negative attitudes in and keep them around all the time and also things like Ouija boards .....when seeking answers from negative sources...(God doesn't work this way) disenchanted entities can come in.....try to trick you and play with your mind.
