I consider what George did not only betrayal but treason. Him stating He was a Christian and then all those merchant oriented legislation he suported and the aggression and war and since he did not look at all surprised when notified about the the towers presumably and act to sacrifice people to use that as an excuse to start war. Had he done any of this and not made a point he was a christian I would have felt just another merchant, but a merchant in Christian clothing is the ultimate betrayal. Jesus had a reason for kicking them out of the Temple.

The greatest betrayal would be to lie to someone that God didn't exist knowing in your heart that God does. That person you told completely believes everything you tell them. They trust you and end up dying going to Hell because of your lie ... but, then you do to. That's ultimate betrayal and ultimate consequence of actions.

by the way, I don't think this could really happen. I mean what would the purpose be and besides, God wouldn't allow such a thing to take place, I don't think.

i have been " betrayed " in the past ( a big one ) .... but in hindsight i have understood the betrayal as something that was very confusing and deeply upsetting for the person who betrayed ...
things aren't always what they seem and people need forgiven ... as they often hurt more for their actions than we hurt because of their actions xx
