No.... even if you get it expunged.. you would have to report it on your application. And if you lie and put no, they will eventually find out and you will get bounced and maybe charged criminally.

You cannot be a police officer with a felony conviction. However, you can still pursue a career in the field of criminal justice. A strong possibility is a career in alcohol and drug counseling. Many ex-felony offenders have become excellent counselors in the criminal justice system. Also, some state criminal justice divisions (e.g., Texas Department of Criminal Justice) will allow an ex-felon to become a state parole officer, once 15 years has elapsed with no further criminality. It is not impossible to work in the criminal justice system with a felony conviction, but certain avenues are closed, most especially law enforcement. Good Luck and don't give up!

No, a felon has used up his chance to be a cop. Can't carry a gun.

No. You can even get your civil rights reinstated, but you can never be a law enforcement officer, you are "forever tainted" "untouchable", they feel. Our system says that " the sentence is the punishment" and once completed you have paid your debt to society. If you believe that; I have some swamp land in Florida for sale you would be interested in.

No, you cannot be a felon. Some misdemeanors but not felony convictions.

yes it seam like police officer come with all type of bad background now most are not respectable enough to have their jobs in law enforcement

most police officers are felons who just don't get caught so it seems like the answer should be yes, however i don't think it probably is. i guess if you wanna be a cop you gotta learn to be a little slicker. sucks, huh?
