There is no right age. When you are ready, or atleast ready as you can be, thats the age. Are you happy in your relationship, whether married or not? Are you two financially able to support yourselves as well as a child? Do you have a stable home and job? Are you ready for the mental and physcial demand that a child brings?? Have you done most everything you would expect to do before having a family? These are just a few questions that you need to ask yourself before you make a baby. If you can say yes to these questions, then yes, not matter the age you are ready for a baby. I know some people at age 30 who still not ready, while people in their early 20's are ready.

Not as much an issue of age as it is being prepared.

Being in school with a baby is rough...thank goodness my wife graduated already or things would be tight!

Also more important is if you have a secure relationship and all the other great advice everyone is more than happy to throw at ya when you're considering a baby.

Considerations must be made for age however. If you are a male, you can produce children well into old age. For females however, you have to take certain things into consideration...such at the risk for down's syndrome increasing once you hit 35 and getting worse each year thereafter.

Mostly it's important to look ahead and see what age you will be during certain milestones or such, and make sure you are both comfortable with that and prepared for it.

Also, make sure you've had lots of fun and appreciated the intimate relationship you two have had up until the point of having the baby...as things will never be the same again. Everything takes massive planning and still rarely pans out as panned. Be free while ya can, so you can most enjoy your new wonder.

Whenever you feel that you can give up the fun child free life. It's not easy but you have to be willing to put another life ahead of your own. I learned the hard way at 20, other women still can't do it at 35, so it's purely up to you. But a side note, I love being a young mom, my daughter will be 5 and I will be graduating college, so it's all a balance.

I'd say whatever age you are financially able to take care of a child or you have a lot of solid support from friends and family.
