Yeah it does. But i think that if you want to learn cartwheels and other flips, you should just take a gymnastics. Gymnastics also increases your flexibility. I am a cheerleader and before i tried out, i took gymnastics from a private tutor and i could do like a perfect cartwheel in like a week. So just take gymnastics.
Hope i helped!

Yeah, yoga does increase your flexibility. Pilates are another way to increase flexibility.
I'm not sure that you can be too flexible too fast. One works his or her way up to extreme flexibility. It sounds like you are looking for a quick fix and yoga would not be a good solution.
You might try stretching before you exercise, that will help with flexibility, but there is no miracle exercise to fast flexibility. Plus, learning to do gymnastic moves takes time and effort, you can try all you want to learn them quickly, but there are no guarantees.

Yoga doesn't just make you flexable, it also helps you mentaly. you get to breath better, relax and give your body time to strech and reaaaly relax. Give it a try! but I'm not sure about the cartwheel part! this is something you can do once your arms are strengthn I guess. (can't tell because its been a long time -and pounds- ago!)

Ya Yoga can help with your flexibility but you just have to work at it little by little train your body to stretch. That how I did it now I can pretty much do any kind of acrobatics.

yes, and you cannot force yourself to do these things within a short period of time because you will hurt yourself. yoga will help relax your muscles and it involves a lot of stretching which will make you more flexible. i had this issue a few years ago because i needed to try out for cheerleading and i learned it within a few weeks....it's not hard at all......you just need to consistently keep trying, and have an experienced friend help you out to spot you so you don't hurt yourself.

YES!!! Not only yoga, but pilates and general stretching 1 hour a day. It will relax you and cause your muscles to lengthen. It isn't super fast though. Nothing is. Good Luck
