so i lived in california my whole life. i just got here to oklahoma and it was a huge cultural shock. so my new school has 900 people per grade.. my old school had 300 people per grade. its so much different, and impossible to fit in because everyone has their own "clicks". no ones accepting of me. its just hard. and all the new people hate the school.

anyway, as for my question.
me and my parents were discussing homeschooling for my senior year. how does that work and is it a bad idea to do that for senior year? help me out a little please.. and thank you =]

OUCH!
What a bummer?!?!
is there anyway you could return to your old school for your senior year? Live with a family friend or your pastors' family or something ? Senior year is the BEST!

after 11th grade, there are only a few requirements, US Gov't class, mostly electives.
If you are planning to go to college, and you already have taken the ACT or SATand had good results, see if you can start early
just an idea

Ask your parents to find a local homeschooling group in your area. If socializing is your concern, many homeschooling groups have great activities for homeschooled high schoolers, including outings, and even proms.

This is your decision and you need to decide why you want to be homeschooled. It could be for the wrong reasons.

In the real world, when you start a new job, you will go throught that same feeling all over again. Everyone is in synch already and you just come in to the mix. High school prepares you for life socially. Take a deep look at what your motives are and if you need to suck it in, for a few months, you might be surprised at the end.

I homeschool both of my kids, but are reasons are way different.

Good luck on whatever you decide!

I have homeschooled my whole life. If either of your parents are a little worried about teaching you, they don't have to sweat it. You will probably do everything on your own. I have recently taken Bob Jones curriculum. Depending on your classes you could take some of them off of a TV. Some classes are recorded and others are live. I'm also taking American Gov. through A Beka. It's not hard at all. Check them out. Hope that homeschooling goes well for you.

It can work. Try finding a homeschool group or program like Hewitt, Bob Jones, or Abeka. Another thing you could try is running-start (high-school aged students, college courses) or AP testing which can get you college credit, but you can work through a book a home and then take the test at a school.
