Yes it does. If it's naturally curly. If it's permed, no. The shorter hairs will curl more because there isn't as much weight and they'll be a little smaller as well.

Yep it does. My sister has curly hair and got it layered and it was much more curly and had more volume. It takes the weight off of the top.
But you definitely need to go to a hairdresser that knows what he/she is doing and tell them you want to get it layered so it can curl.

Yes, my friend has short, layered, curly hair and she scrunches it (looks really curly!) and it looks really hot on her! Before when she had a little longer hair...it didn't look so curly. But now it does it looks awesome! My hair is really long and I scrunch it and straighten it, and they both look cool! lol

since your hair is naturally curly, a layered cut would give you waves if you blow it dry. If you just shurnch it and add gel it would be curly and cute.

It depends on the type of hair you have. My sister got layers and she has curly hair and it made hers curlier...

My hair was permed in the spring, and once i layered it the perm came back!

it probly makes your curly hair look like it has more volume and bounce. i'd try it!

yes definetly. i have wavy hair and i got layers and it is way more defined then it used to be.

It helps to not "fro" out the hair or have the "christmas tree" effect.

yes it can do, however, if its layered and you use straightners, it could also be the spikey type.
