The May 1, Illegal Rally was the day America woke up!

The backlash was phenomenal! Organizations like the Minutemen, Numbers USA, Fire Coalition, Grass Fire, the Patriot, and others have grown in huge numbers and are receiving lots of donations from loyal Americans. Did you see where the Minutemen received a multi-million dollar donation to built the fence?

Keep on Going, AMERICA....the movement has begun like a ripple in a pond and will continue until it reaches the power of a tsunami!

Yes, they followed poor Leaders. Some didn't care. Many didn't speak up against wrong. And in doing so, tuned the backs of many. Rather that is permanent or not, we don't know. One should look to who they are following-that they support them in all ways. Not just what helps their selfish goals.

This is a big problem for the illegal movement (as you call it). They lack good Leadership. Leaders who not only help those who follow them but reach the heart of those who are not. And until they have better Leaders, even if they win one battle-there will be plenty more that were unnecessary. And maybe innocents ones will be hurt.

You have to know they must! From Hazelton, Pennsylvania to Houston, Texas and everywhere else, cities have begun their own statutes to mirror the "unenforced Federal laws". People of America, city by city, are taking matters into their own hands. What a backlash for the illegal movement.

If they had been successful, they would have been back on the streets Labor Day, as they threatened. As it happened, they had a few fizzling-out little wimpy protest, but for the most part the illegals kept a low profile.

I thought it was funny, I was in Las Vegas and did not see a single protester but saw a lot of people going to work. I thinl the pro illegals are having a bit of trouble in getting a serious following. Maybe that should be taken as a statement that the illegal immigrants actually know and believe they are breaking the law and are not so willing to show themselves to protest.

I think they do, at least the ones that really care about staying here. Because before they pulled that, there wasn't a whole lot of commotion from the U.S. citizens. I don't think they thought about the opinion of the U.S. citizens and the fact that citizens are the ones voting. They talked about civil rights. But I don't think they realized that it's a right intended for the U.S. citizens. I don't think they thought about how discraceful they were to the American flag on American soil in which they are walking on illegally. They drew attention to themselves and not the way they wanted to.

I think they are in denial about it due to their cultural blindness.

They are so isolated in their communities, they refuse to see the point of view of anyone who does not agree with them. They still think they can demand something from us while insulting us.

They have a world view in their countries that they bring with them. It says:

1. America is rich, full of greedy, lazy, fat, immoral people.
2. I am innocent, hard-working & poor, so I am morally superior.
3. It is Ameirica's fault that I am poor.

Therefore, America owes me and must give me whatever I want because of my moral superiority.

They didn't understand the delicate cultural reality that Americans will only fall for that crock as long as they don't say it too loud.

OOPS!

It proved just how big the problem was and it was time for alot of people to see that yes, you aren't crazy with the things you're seeing and a clear picture that this wasn't just a southern border problem. It was and is in your neighborhood and if it's not, it will be. It was one thing to see the people.....another with the hate talk and demands and all the rest. Any possible sympathy I had was killed that day. And everytime they open their mouth and mention "racism", demands, "Their" people, must speak Spanish....it makes me more and more determined to fight this every inch of the way and more and more intolerant of their behavior.

I have heard a lot of people say they never gave illegal immigration a second thought till they seen what happened in L.A. , on May 1st. They slit their own throats, and they know it, dought they will ever admit it. Now all they can do is just scream racism, and huddle behind their children begging for amnesty.

Yes of course, an prop got passed in Nevada because of that. The officials said they saw the protesters flying Mexican flags and that angered them. They passed the prop making it illegal to fly another nations flag there. Not to mention it angered just about every one in the states including my self. It probably even angered some of their supporters.

Today we march, tomorrow we vote fell short by 850,000 registered voters.
