sony or olympus?

i'm choosing between a sony DSC-W50 and i don't know what from olympus. which brand is better? i heard olympus is better.. but sony is such a known brand. soo help please!!!

Both brands are excellent for digital cameras. I have an Olympus and it's very easy to use and takes great photos. I think you need to figure out which features are important to you first. Then see which cameras are the best deal based on that. You can compare prices on shopping.com and many other sites. Many models will probably have consumer reviews on epinions.com as well. If you have a Costco membership, you might get a great deal on cameras there. They usually have excellent choices. (They offer extra memory cards at a good price, too.) Good luck!

Olympus has been making good cameras for many years.
I have a film Stylus Epic, superb little camera. I had an Olympus c-4000 digicam, 4 mega pixels, and it was fantastic little performer until it died :-(
So my vote is for Olympus.

try consider the new model mju 720 or its successor, mju 725.. these are olympus cameras.. they are worth considering due to its features.. both are cameras that are weather-proof, water-proof and shock-proof..
>weather-proof in the sense that you can bring it to cold countries and not worry bout high battery drainage..
>water-proof in which you can bring under water up to 3m depth..
>shock-proof whereby your camera will stil be in good working condition if you drop it accidentally within height of 1.5m..

price is rather reasonable.. take a look at it or more like likely, proceed to olympus service centre and try it out.. im sure you will fall in love with it..

i have recommend it to my fren and she's loving it till now..
