report him??? i see it all the time. i've seen cops put their lights on and go through a red light then turn it off after they go through...i have seen them speed and go under the speed limit. this can cause accidents too.

you may want to write in the complaint without your return address and make sure to put down the cars #, exact location, crime, etc.

1) speeding is allowed if they are trying to get to a scene of a crime, or are called ot chase a suspect
2) some cops dont wear their seat belts because if the case of having to "run down" a suspect, they need to be able to get out of their car quickly. this was actaully addressed in my state, and even though we have seat belt law, police officers are excluded (including ambulance drivers and firefighters)
3) tinted windows maybe be needed if they are using their vehicles for under cover work, and/or surveillance. Not illegal at all.

So unless you know "the real story" you may be reproting an officer who is ONLY doing his/her job.

i couldn't agree more with Arus. Unless it is a very serious crime do not go about making a huge fuss.
I know that undercovers need tinted windows and they dont wear seat belts because it would take time to unbuckle and chase down a suspect

Mind your own business & look the other way because they just could have a very good reason for breaking those laws & you won't always be able to know all the facts involved, so why chance causing yourself grief & costing the department lost hours & wasted money on stupid stuff.

Report it because that is your civic duty but whatever you do do it anonymously. If they don't want to act on it ,too bad.Pretty cinical I know but you have only got to watch the way some of these groups close ranks when their members are charged with some quite serious crimes.

Not much you can do. It's a brotherhood. Wouldn't you speed if you knew you could never get a ticket?

I did get a traffic court judge to actually yell at a cop for speeding once, but he didn't actually give him a ticket.

If their in their car, try and get their squad number (car number) and if you can get their badge number. Go down to the local police dept. and file a report with the sheriff.

Sounds like abuse of power. Report it to Crime stoppers. Even anonymously, report it to your nearest police department. Did you see it happen?
