Oprah issued a statement saying that TomKat could only invite a certain amount of people. (which didnt make sense to me because of some of the others that came and werent as "close" as we were led to believe by media reports; and David Beckham had to cancel so there had to be one more spot right there...)

Maybe they left out the "media" celebrities, like Barbara Walters and Oprah. Or, maybe he only invited fellow
scientologists.

I agree with one of the other people on here. He invited his "closets" friends-those who happens to be Scientologist. Now, John Travolta his a Scientologist-and he was not invited. But, Will Smith and his wife was. Brooke Shields was invited-that's because that was his sincere apology about her post-partum depression. So, to lend an "olive branch" to her, he invited her.

because of the fact he's the JERK who forgot who gave him all that unfastened exposure along with his leaping on the settee antic in her tutor.!!!!! He seems to love freebies as he have been given his wedding ceremony for no longer something from the mayor of the Italian city the place have been given married. FREELOADER!

I think it was because Tom disrespected Oprah on her show by thinking he could do anything, like jumping all on her sofa, like some kid who'd just had candy. I'm sure she didn't appreciate it...and I don't blame her. Who does he think he is anyways? He'll probably be divorced and married again in a year.

just because she wasn;t reported to be there doesn't mean she wasn't - and if indeed she wasn't - that doesn't mean she wasn;t invited. Oprah, like anyone else, may have had other commitments.

Why does everyone care so much about this wedding? It's crazy how much effect the media has and how obbsessed people becomeover stuff like this. They love eachother so they got married. They do not need everyone in America wonderingabout their wedding. This country is so rediculous.

I think that he probably feels that she didn't "support" his "tirade" on her show. Maybe he felt that she should have dissmissed all the jokes and stood by him.
I am not sure but I did think that it was odd. Good question!
