I have no clue what that other answer is that someone gave you. My answer to you is no. Maybe you have an infected gland, a swollen gland, or an infected sinus.
Go to the drug store and get the eardrops that are for ear aches. It doesn't cost much and it works.
Meanwhile, just to be on the safe side, take a couple of motrin, and / or tylenol. Make sure you're not running a temp. If you're running a temp then you can be sure there's an infection brewing somewhere. If all the above fails to help you, then call your doctor and be seen.
