The Truth should be brought to other people in love. If we do not do that, we do not really have the Truth in us either. Sometimes, God's word will make other's sad or mad or make them offended, but let them have it gently and then pray and let God do the rest. Don't force God's word on them.

We should always speak the Truth in Love. Respect is not something another person needs to earn. It is intrinsic to their person. Everyone was made in the image of God and therefore everyone deserves our respect. Part of that respect is that we tell them the Truth, but always in Love.
The challenge is to find a loving way to speak the Truth in every situation. And should there be a situation where such a way cannot be found, maybe it's God's way of telling us to keep quiet.

RESPECT... like if some one ask you what do you think of my new shoes. to you they are the worst looking shoes you ever saw.do you tell the truth or be respectable. i choose respect over truth. now if that same person says o look at these shoes i love them but will have to not pay my rent if i buy them then i would say yeah there nice but you cant afford them and you need to pay your rent . now you have showed her respect by telling her the truth.

The truth!!...You can tell someone the truth and still be respectful about it..I would much rather be told the truth by someone, then have them lie to me..I think that would be very disrespectful!

Both, simultaneously.

There's NO reason it cannot be like that.

Speaking one's truth with compassion and kindness.
Knowing that it is *your* truth, and may not be the truth of others.

Tough question! I would have to say respect for other's feelings. Not every truth should be told.

How is lying respecting my feelings or yours. Only use lies for very definite purposes with clear profits. Lies are expensive and almost always get found out. When they get found to be lies your credibility takes a beating. Better to be honest if you can.
