I have naturally thick hair..and honestly i dont really mind. the thing that bugs me is that once my haird dries, it tends to kinda poof out and fizz you could say. What are some ways i can keep my hair in place and straight? I usually have to tie it up and sometimes i feel like keeping it down but, as said before, it poofs out and irritates me.

the same thing happens with me! my hair is really thick and it just doesn't stay. You can use a straightener, but that takes a long time and is annoying to do daily. I just wear it in different styles that prevent "poof-age". a braid or even french braids are always cute. or half up in a clip. there are many wayss. i am sure there are shampoos and stuff for it but putting it in different styles is the easiest way. good luck!

Make sure you "wrap" your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf. Then in the morning before you comb out your wrap spray your hair with a oil sheen spray like Dr. Miracle's healing oil sheen spray. To keep the frizz away try Motions smoothing shine serum. Try to stay away from too much heat styling though, it can wreck havoc on "our" hair. hair extensions are great as long as you take good care of the weave & your real hair you should do okay. Good luck on you new hot stlye !!!!

I have thick hair too. Use BioSilk Silk Therapy. You just use about a dime size drop of this stuff in your hands, rub them together and then massage into hair. It helps with fly-aways and keeps hair really moist. You can also put it in you hair after you get out of the shower and then blow dry with a round brush downwards. That will help keep your hair smooth and straight.

I had the same problem what you have to do is go to Sally Beauty supply and get a straightner that goes up to atleast 40 degrees, you need a hotter one to control ur hair, then make sure you use flat iron spray before flat ironing it it protects the hair, also to finish it off I use Paul Mitchell wax works, warm it in ur hand and comb through your hair, work wonders.

I have thick hair too... Don't get it thinned out. I used to do that and it just makes it worse.. Also I use stuff from Sally Beauty store... It is Acclaim gloss spray. It really helps. Also, I only wash my hair maybe 2 times a week. If you wash it too much it dries it our even more. I assume your hair is dry like mine... If not then it shouldn't matter how many times you wash it... I HATE DRYING MY HAIR!!! I'm sure you do too... But try that stuff from Sally...

I wear my hair in a side braid and, while it doesn't keep it straight, it keeps it from fizzing. I also use a product called 'sleek smoothing cream' from suave after I wash my hair, and it keeps the fiz down.

A straightner always keeps hair straight, not poofy, shiny, and smooth.

I have thick hair as well. I usually just perm my hair, then flat iron it. It helps me manage it better.
