A mintue ago, I was rubbing my eyes when suddenly these strange graphics started flowing around in my eyes, Is my mind createing these graphics or what?

you are actually seeing blood flow through the many little pathways through the eyes and the changes on the vitreous chamber (white stuff) of the eye from the pressure. Like if you push on the left corner of your eye with your eye closed, you will see the dot on the right, and so on. It is all a matter of seeing things in another dimension.

I also used to do this when bored, 40 years ago!. Now they have TV, computers and all kinds of "do it for you" devices.
I would like to know what I was seeing - the physiological explanation please.

tehe i used to do that when i was little just because i liked watching the colorful patterns

i usually see spots and i think that it is bcuz your brain just trys to mimick something that you say without really looking at it

i do this when im bored, sometimes i see what looks like a grid..its hard to explain, sometimes i see coloured lights
