I was just wondering, what causes one to be immature/mature? I know it has something to do with how one may be raised, but is there any other components? if so, what?

that is how you are raised. I mean in the brain, is there lets say a "chemical" or lack of a chemical that is produced?

I could be wrong of course, but I hardly think it's chemical. I would imagine that it mostly comes from intelligence and personal growth (as opposed to just physical growth). Knowing better how to weigh what matters in a broad spectrum of things, ideas, emotions, et al.

the way your brain functions also plays a very big part in this. you can be born with the tendancy to be more mature or less mature than your age, this can be 'smothered' if the parent wants to, unless the cause is brain DAMAGE.

see, i grew up in a strict household with my grandparents and no games and no internet or TV for most of my life. but i still get the urge to yell out "it's snowing!" in the middle of summer. :D

well, i think that it is brain development. some are slower than others, and the slower ones could be the immature ones.
some mental disorders and autism are reasons for immaturity.

Youd be surprised how many people who are highly educated dont have basic common sense.

well i think that what says you are mature or immature is not only how you are raised but the environment that you live in, how your friends act and wat is done around you
