then all the other times he says things like:dont u have a place to go, is it sth that you want here? and he seems to dislike me. why???? how can i change this???help guys!!

It seems like your father in law has issues.that is his problem not yours.You should not take this personally,be polite to him when we says things like that.he will stop after this behaviour after some time.If he doesn't why don't you & your husband sit down with him & ask him why is he behaving like this...........

He doesnt like you because of the way you dress. Try wearing something a little more formal and he should come around. You could do something really wierd and ask your wife about it since she knows him and knows you and none of us have a clue.

he may be expecting you to be something than the present situation. Life for ur self. R u staying with ur partner? talk to ur patner, take openion, advice..take decission. ITS HIGH TIME.

he doesnt like you and theres nothing you can do. if he doesnt respect you , have your husband talk to him, or limit your visits. if you have kids, he shouldnt display his hatred in front of them. it sets a bad example on how family should behave.
