I am trying to think of the name of a high-end German kitchen appliances/refrigerator manufacturer. I keep wanting to say Oppenheim or Guggenheim or something like that but can't for the life of me remember the name. Thanks.

You mean "Gaggenau" and yes, this is one of the best brands for kitchen equipment- they ve also got a very nice design and as everything which is top of the line, it s quite a pricy brand.
Another leading German company for fridges is Liebherr, they also produce the fridges for some other companies which rebadge them.
I ve got a friend who is currently building a house and I helped deciding what to take ;-)

Are you thinking of Haier? Another high-end German kitchen cabinet company is Poggenpohl.

Everything in my kitchen is Miele. Another brand is Bosch.
