I have just been trying to do a search for you.
I found that sniffing solvents can lead to a rash around the mouth area and maybe around the nose area.
Good luck

I frequently had ulcers and sore throat as a teenager and was tired a lot - could be glandular fever.
Have you other reasons to be suspicious? Does she smell of solvents? Search her room when she's out - I know it's horrible to pry, but as parent's, it's our duty to do what we can to protect our children.

something is going on whether its crank meth or who knows nowa days.tough love mom. its not a easy road to go down. but if you dont do nothing you increase the risk of her killing herself in one way or another. look into some al- a -non meetings. its parents about tough love and being strong threw it. you can go as far as the police turn in some friends you think might. go to the school and let the principal know there is a serious problem.
just get some help.

talk to her about it. If she refuses to talk, you have every right to search through her belongings for signs of aerosol abuse.
Ulcers in and sores around the mouth and/or nose are signs of solvent abuse.

First order of business, ask her. Gauge how she reacts. Is she nervous? Does she freak out that you asked her that? Tell her you wont punish her if she says yes, you just want to warn her about it. Find some info online about the dangers, and then sit down with her and LOVINGLY go over the dangers with her. Don't preach, don't punish, but show her how much she means to you, and how bad it could hurt you if she got hurt
