Why do so many people assume to be pro-life you have to be Christian?

Yes, because you are helping in killing humans.

If you help in doing sin, means you also share the burden of the sin.

Yes.

In the early church, a similar incident occurred. During the 2nd century, a pagan actor became a Christian. Because the dramas of the day encouraged all sorts of immorality, the actor knew it would be a sin to remain in that employment.

As a consolation, he asked if it would be possible to teach others the craft, without personally participating in the theater, since all he knew was acting.

It was determined by the elders that what is wrong to do is also wrong to teach. They further went to the Bishop (Cyprian) who stated that if the man had no means of income, then the church should help him learn a new trade, and provide for him until he could. The alternative was for the church to send the man to Carthage, so that the larger church could provide.

Using that as an example, the doctor who participates in abortion is equally sinful as the mother who seeks the abortion. Personally, I think his is the greater responsibility, since if he didn't offer the service in the first place, the access to abortion would be limited.

The reason people assume you are Christian is because you say Abortion is a sin...

I say that no, the doctor who is performing the procedure is not perfoming a sin. But first of all, it is not your place nor anyone else's place to judge. Perhaps he/she does it with a heavy heart. Maybe he/she doesn't want to but he/she sees the pain in the soon-to-be-mother's eyes and the doctor realizes that someone's choice trumps any feelings the doctor has on the subject. (See Cider House Rules for more on this).

Forget whether or not it is a sin. If you have a moral objection to abortion, why would you work in an abortion clinic?

Unless of course your point was simply that if abortion is a sin then ipso facto all abortion clinic workers are sinners. If that was your point then look to yourself and your own sins and do not seek to cast stones at others.

Absolutely, he or she is committing a sin...and it's worse than women who go in and are lied to about what they are doing. These doctors and nurses SEE the carnage every day, and still choose to continue. It is my understanding that many of the clerical workers up front are carefully protected from actually seeing dead bodies of cut up babies, but it is my belief that they could easily find out more on the internet if they really cared.

There are many arguments against abortion from a Christian perspective. However, I've found that most "pro-choice" people just throw that back in your face...they hate religious people SSOOOOO much, especially Christians. They can hardly see straight while they're rabidly spewing their list of slogans trying to convince us that "dead babies are good for women".

So, I've found a few incredibly informative websites for pro-lifers from different perspective. Enjoy.

If you believe that Abortion is a "sin" then you are 1-basing it on some religion and 2-that does necessitate that performing the act is also a "sin" (prostitutes and their customers alike are "sinning" if they commit the "sin" of adultery, right?)

St Paul before he was converted used to hold the clocks of others while they killed christians...God was not pleased and chose to use him to work against the Romans to increase the faith. The guy who started the abortion movement a former jew converted to catholicism and fights against the evil he helped create. He prays daily for God`s forgiveness which I am sure he has obtained...because God touched his soul and he listened.

Say I believe that women who do not wear modest clothing are also committing a sin (read: burkas!), so are those that manufacture the clothing and those that sell said immodest clothing also sinful? Such a concept is ridiculous, as is the concept that a few hundred or thousand cells is a valid human life.

If you know that abortion is a sin do you really need to ask the rest of your question????? What does the Holy Spirit tell you???? Have you prayed and asked God to reveal the answer to you???? There's no such thing as partial sin if it's a sin it's ALL a sin!!

It's a sin because the doctor is taking a life. And even science agrees that life begins when sperm and egg meet (the splitting of the cell is the start of life) so it is murder.
